This is the time chart that CGA riders live by! To earn a Year End Award, you must be rated (at least 3 times in an event at that level) in a designated number of events. The Rating Matrix outlines all time divisions, from Future Champion to Supreme, in both Horse and Pony divisions.

CGA RACE OF CHAMPIONS APPLICATION
Only CGA members are eligible. This program is described in detail in Section 6 of the CGA Information &
Regulations. Please note that a jacket is NOT automatic. It must be earned.

3. When you sign up for the ROC program, you are also signed up for Level 1 Year end Awards. If you do not
earn a Hall of Fame buckle, you will be eligible for a Level 1 award instead. You may also select Level 2 or
both. See fee schedule.
4. The CGA Show Season starts with the first approved CGA show following the CGA State Championship
Show and ends at the conclusion of the CGA State Championship Show the following year.
1. Only CGA members who are 45 or older as of Jan 1st in the current show season are eligible. This program is
for horses only (no pony divisions) and is described in detail in Section 7 of the CGA Information & Regulations.
2. Fees may be transferred to a different mount, but times may NOT be transferred.
3. When you sign up for the SE program, you are also signed up for Level 1 Year end Awards. If you do not
earn a Senior Elite buckle, you will be eligible for a Level 1 award instead. You may also select Level 2 or both.

4. The CGA Show Season starts with the first approved CGA show following the CGA State Championship
Show and ends at the conclusion of the CGA State Championship Show the following year.
Any Senior Elite Awards application will count only shows beginning
60 days prior to the postmark date until the end of the show season.
Rules and Policies
This booklet provides users with much required information to participate in events at CGA shows. It identifies what you need to know when you go to a show, explains the awards programs, and spells out State sponsored events (shows and convention). The Information Book explains how to start your own CGA district, provides district management guidelines, and discusses Master Judges, the CGA Master Judge Advisory Committee, the CGA Board of Governors, and the CGA Board of Directors, plus more! A 'must have' for everyone.
The Rule Book speaks to all facets of the running of CGA shows. It includes local district requirements and guidelines for the running of a show, including before, during and after a show. The Rule Book also includes rules for riders during the show, and all materials and equipment requirements for each event, including the construction of required equipment. A 'must have' for everyone.
The printout contains the primary articles that govern the California Gymkhana Association.

This manual defines the in's and out's of doing business at the State level, whether it involves CGA state level Officers, Board of Directors, or Board of Governors.

District Show Software 9.00 Update
This district software download provides bug fixes and enhancements to CGA software version 9.00 since the 0934 build CD was created. Click on the link above to download and apply the fix. Note - This is NOT the complete software package. If you don't already have the CGA 9.00 software installed, contact State Office, because downloading this will do you no good. 10/10/16 enhancement - Build 0946.

Suspended CGA Members |
This PDF file contains a current listing of suspended CGA members. Suspended members are NOT allowed to run at any CGA show until their name is removed from this list. If necessary, CGA State Office may be contacted to verify if a name shown on the list has been reinstated, which would allow that person to participate in CGA shows again.

The Accident Report must be completed anytime there is an accident that causes the rider to withdraw from the show for any reason, regardless of whether or not medical help is needed. Every district should keep extra copies on hand at all times. The Show Secretary will forward the Accident Report to CGA State Office with the Show Package. This form is required by CGA's insurance company.

ny CGA member may attend any Board of Directors, Rules & Judges, Riders or General meeting. Local district delegates should plan to attend all meetings. Agenda items must be submitted to State Office at least 30 days before a meeting. Use the Agenda Request Form (fillable PDF) to submit your agenda items. Absentee ballots must be requested from State Office at least 45 days in advance of an election. Members must be at least 12 years old to vote. Want to view rule changes?
